SENDING A UNIT IN FOR REPAIR
Be sure you pack the unit well in an appropriate carton. Carton should be 2" to 3" larger than the unit you are shipping. For heavy items like slide or 16mm projectors and record players, closed cell foam is an ideal material and may be cut into sheets for bottom, top and all sides between the unit and the carton. Styrofoam "worms" should be avoided except with light items such as card readers (Language Masters) or cassette recorders. If using worms, double plastic bag the unit before packing to insure pieces of foam do not get INSIDE of the unit. Wadded and crushed newspaper may also be used, as well as sheets of cardboard, to help fit unit to carton.
When shipping unit, make sure it is insured for the replacement cost in case it is damaged or lost. When a unit is packed poorly, the carrier is not responsible for the damage. If we receive a well packed repair, we will save the carton and packagaging for the return trip to you. If not, we will replace, at our option, with the correct carton and packing and add that cost (min 10$ to a max of 35$) to your repair bill.
Please include a note along with the unit that has YOUR name, address, and telephone number, FAX number, if available, and e'mail address. Also note what you think is wrong with the unit (this saves trouble shooting time). If we have agreed on a approximate estimate, you can save time by telling us to proceed with the repair if under a specified dollar amount, and include your Credit Card name, number and expiration date.
When the repair is completed, the unit will be shipped to you that same day and charged to your credit card. Otherwise we will mail you a copy of the invoice, and unless you are an established opened account we will await your payment prior to return shipment.
WARRANTY
SERVICE comes with a 90 day parts and labor guarantee for the part of the unit we worked on. There is NO WARRANTY on projection lamps.
